Fragmentary debt note. [...] owes Libluṭ (L) 30;0 of barley and 30 bundles of straw (tibnu), payable in m.II at the (tp)Urram(?) Gate (bāb urram; KA2 ur2-ra-am).
The arable field cultivated for crops, located at the the lower (tp)Canal of Bānītu (nār Bānītu šaplītu), adjacent to the […] of (f)Turinnītu/[…] and to the arable field of Gubāru, is pledged as security (maškanu) to L. [...] guarantees for the payment.
At least 4 witnesses.
Scribe: […]/[...]-Anu//Gimil-Anu.
Notes
Gubāru may be the Persian governor of Babylon under Cyrus and Cambyses II; cf. BaM 23 (1992), 469. However, the presence of members of the Gimil-Anu family — otherwise unattested in the 7th–6th centuries — suggests a later date for the tablet.
