Paraphrase

(f)Ēṭirtu (E), wife of Nabû-zēru-ukīn (NZU), oblate of Ištar of Uruk, clarifies the parentage of their son Nabû-uṣuršu (NU) before 8 freemen (mār banî). NU had stated that Marduk-šumu-uṣur (MŠU) was his father, but E declares that MŠU had not taken her as wife (ana aššūtu rašû), and that NU is her eldest son from (lapāni) NZU. Upon questioning, NU confesses (eli ramni kânu D), and promises to write the name of NZU in all his debt notes (uʼiltu).

Notes: AnOr 8 47 (VAT 08472) is a duplicate. The date as copied there should probably be corrected to Cyr 5.V.18
