Nabû-bān-aḫi/Ibnāya//Ekur-zakir (NBA), agent (bēl piqitti) of Nabû-šarru-uṣur (NŠU), royal courtier (ša rēš šarri), informs Nergal-ina-tēšî-ēṭir/Zabidā, agricultural supervisor (gugallu), 4 chiefs of ten (rab ešerti) Silim-Bēl/Aplāya, Ibni-Ištar/Nabû-šumu-ibni, Nabû-aḫḫē-šullim/Nabû-udammiq, Nabû-šumu-ibni/Šūzubu), 15 other men and all the plowmen (ikkaru) of the Lady of Uruk about (an order) that NŠU assigned (paqādu) to this assembly (puḫru). NBA shall impose obligations (uʼiltu eʼēlu) on the plowmen, according to which he who gives a plot (qaqqaru) of his arable land (zēru) and oxen upon summons (ana tibûtu) to a sharecropper (errēšu), shall die. NBA then imposes the obligation according to the command (amatu) of the royal courtier, repeating that he who gives a plot of arable land, measured out for him (? ana muḫḫišu mašāḫu?), and oxen upon summons to a sharecropper, or hides (ana pašīru šakānu) (parts) of the arable land measured out, shall die.
3 witnesses.
Scribe: Nanāya-aḫu-iddin/Nabû-šumu-ibni.
The 15 other men in this assembly are probably rent farmers: Bēl-erība/Iddināya, Šumu-iddin/Lâbâši, Šamaš-aḫu-iddin/Ardia, Nabû-zēru-iddin/Ša-Nabû-šū, Bēl-ibni/Bēl-iddin, Innin-šumu-uṣur/Bēl-aḫḫē-erība, Innin-zēru-ibni/Amīl-Nanāya, Nergal-aḫu-iddin/Nabû-šumu-ibni, Nabû-šumu-ukīn/Aplāya, Nabû-bān-aḫi/Bulluṭāya, Nabû-taqbi-līšir/Balāṭu, Amīl-Nabû/Iqīša, Ina-ṣilli-Nanāya/Ardia, Ina-ṣilli-Nanāya/Bēl-upaḫḫir, Nabû-ēṭir/Bēl-aḫu-iddin.
NBA is also known as a scribe; cf. e.g. VS 20, 88. NŠU is a future Royal Overseer (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna (cf. e.g. YOS 6, 89). For further prosopographical references see Janković 2013: 170-173.
