Paraphrase

Šamaš-aḫu-iddin/Nabû-zēru-iqīša (ŠAI) makes a statement regarding 10 head of sheep and goats, marked with the star symbol (of Eanna), which have been fetched (abāku) from his hands. He says that Nergal-nāṣir/Bēl-aḫḫē-erība (NN), herdsman of the Lady of Uruk, had entrusted (paqādu) these animals to him. When witnesses testify that ŠAI has either bought these animals or that he led them away (in exchange for) a record of claims (ṭuppi rašûti) from NN (or) from (another) herdsman of the Lady of Uruk, ŠAI will repay the animals thirtyfold to the Lady of Uruk.

Written in the presence of 3 officials: Nabû-šarru-uṣur, Royal Overseer (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna, Marduk-bulliṭanni, Keeper of the Royal Box (ša muḫḫi quppi), and Šākin-šumi/Ibni-Ištar//Sîn-tabni, deputy governor (šanû) of Uruk. Besides, 3 other men are listed as being present.

Scribe: Gimillu/Nabû-šumu-iddin//Gimil-Nanāya.

Nergal-nāṣir/Bēl-aḫḫē-erība is a herdsman and a chief of ten (rab ešerti); cf. Aarslev 2023: 328.
