Letter of Anu-[šarru-uṣur] ((?), if so, Royal Resident, qīpu) to Nabû-mukīn-apli (/Nādinu//Dābibī, High Priest, šatammu), and Nabû-aḫu-iddin (Royal Overseer, ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti), "his brothers", telling them that he now has three oxen branded with a star with him because his message did not reach Rēmanni-Marduk (likely /Bel-aḫḫē-erība, RM), a herdsman of the cows at the (tp)Nār-Tupliˀaš in (the meadows of) (tp)Raqqat-Šamaš, because RM had died. Therefore, the animals had come to the city. The sender also informs the recipients that he is looking for (RM’s) female slave (qallatu) who is supposed to be where the sender is, and that he will keep them updated about this. The sender also requests to receive royal orders quickly as their work has become a lot (im-di). The sender then requests 4 skeins of combed wool (ṣuppu) for 2 ekillu-garments (e-kil-li) and emphatically requests a garment since there are none where he is (kapdu). The garment should be taken from [PN]; if it cannot be obtained, this person should be put in iron fetters and sent to the sender.
