On the day a witness (mukinnu) or an informer (bātiqu) testifies (kânu D) that Nabû-ēṭir/Bēl-aḫu-ušebši//Ēdu-ēṭir (NE) received either silver or gold from Itti-Šamaš-balāṭu, a thief, or from Kalbi-Bābu/Nādinu, the goldsmith (kutimmu) another thief, NE shall pay to Eanna thirtyfold the amount the witness testifies.
It is apart from the 8 shekels of silver about which NE said that he received (lit. one gave (him)) 3 shekels for a KUR.RA garment and 5 shekels for bread and beer.
Rēmūtu/Bēl-aḫu-ušebši//Ēdu-ēṭir and Nabû-aḫu-bulliṭ/Nabû-zēru-ukīn//Kaṣṣidakku guarantee for NE. On the day the High Priest (šatammu) and the scribes of Eanna summon him, they shall bring (him) (abāku) and hand him over (nadānu).
6 witnesses and the scribe Mūrānu/Nabû-bān-aḫi//Ekur-zākir
Note
L. 22: LÚ.UMBISAG is expected instead of mukinnu. It is a scribal error.
