Letter of Śameš-ˁidrī (Royal Supervisor of the Ebabbar of Larsa, qīpu) to the High Priest (of Eanna, šatammu, Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādinu//Dābibī), “his father”, answering a message about dates from the recipient, informing him that Balāssu and Nidinti-Šamaš handed them to a messenger. [break]
- Legacy Paraphrase
Tammeš-idrī (mdutu-id-’i-ri, presumably the Royal Resident [qīpu] of the Ebabbar of Larsa) writes to “his father,” the High Priest (šatammu), in response to an inquiry about dates. The sender reports that Balāssu and Nidinti-Šamaš are there and one messenger (mār šipri) […]. The salutation formula invokes Šamaš and Bunene.
