Balāṭu/Arad-Nabû//Ṣāḫit-ginê (B) owes (ina muḫḫi) 20 shekels of silver of temple property (makkūru) that is managed by Innin-šumu-uṣur/Nanaya-ēreš (IŠU) (ša qāt …).
B pledges to IŠU the house of Gimillu/Nergal-tēšî-ēṭir//Šangû-Šamaš (G), of which the north (facing) part of the house and the east (facing) part of the house are built (epšu) and the rest of the house is to be torn down (napāṣu) and rebuilt (epēšu), as well as a waste-ground (kišubbû) beside the narrow street, (which is) a passageway (mūtaqu) of the workers opposite of/towards (tarṣu) the house of B, which he himself (B) had taken as pledge (maškanu ṣabātu) from G.
A second creditor (rāšû) that has an outstanding debt with B can not lay claim (šalāṭu) to the pledged property (maškanu) of IŠU until his silver is repaid in full (šalāmu). There is no rent of his house and there is no interest (ḫubullu).
If the house returns (târu) to B, an additional 5 shekels of silver will be added (manû) to the silver owed by B as compensation for work done (epēšu) in the house. The following damaged clause, envisaging that something (the house?) of B may not return, envisages consequences for IŠU and a third party associated with him, as well as a full payment with interest of the initial debt of 20 shekels. (In this case?), B is not supposed to give the house away as a pledge to a third party without IŠU‘s consent.
4 witnesses are listed. The scribe is Balāṭu/Arad-Nabû//Ṣāḫit-ginê himself, in Uruk.
