Gimillu/Innin-šumu-ibni, rent farmer (ša muḫḫi sūti) of the Lady of Uruk, rents (ana nukarribūtu nadānu) land planted with palms (zēru zaqpu) belonging to Eanna to Šamaš-aḫu-iddin/Innin-zēru-ibni and his son Anu-aplu-iddin/Šamaš-aḫu-iddin. The land is located in the "thousand-cubit" field complex (līmu) in (tp)Tīl-Aggurēti irrigation district (tamirtu) on the canal bank, stretching from (tp)Temple Canal (nāru ša bīt ili) up to the border with the land of the royal DUB.MAḪ and the land of (tp)Husiāya up to the canal (tp)[…] and to the lower end (šēpītu) of the land planted with palms stretching towards the (tp)Angillu* (Spar: BAL.NAM.ḪÉ) irrigation district.
The tenants will work on the land (dullu epēšu), dig (ḫerûtu ḫerû) under the palms, dig irrigation canals and supply them with water (mû ṣabātu Š), bring (lit. “open”) new land under cultivation (taptû petû D), protect offshoots (libbu) and fronds (ḫaruttu).
For each 1;0 of land worked with iron spades (bīt marri), they will get 5;0 of dates, and for each 1;0 of land worked with a plough (bīt epinni), they will get 4;0 dates as sissinnu-remuneration. A broken clause at the end mentions work done at the lower end of the field. The tenants further guarantee (pūtu našû) to guard (maṣṣartu) the orchard and keep oxen, sheep, and goats from grazing there.
