5 oblates of Ištar of Uruk, herdsmen of sheep, goats, and cattle of Eanna, swear by Bēl, Nabû, and Cyrus not to conceal (or: that they have not concealed) any cattle of the Lady of Uruk. When corroborated by a witness or an informer, non-compliance will result in the king’s punishment (ḫīṭu clause)
The oath is taken in the presence of (lit. to) Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādinu//Dābibī, High Priest (šatammu) of Eanna; Nabû-aḫu-iddin, Royal Overseer (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna; and two messengers of Gubāru, Governor (pīḫātu) of Babylonia and (tp)Across the River (ēbir nāri): Sîn-nādin-zēri, scribe, and Iddin-Bēl, Aramaic scribe (sēpiru), who were sent to carry out an inspection of sheep, goats, and cattle.
The oblates are: Talīmu/Šulāya, Silim-ilī/Nanāya-ēreš, Nabû-aḫḫē-bulliṭ/Šamaš-zēru-iqīša, Gimillu/Ḫaḫḫuru, Nabû-dūr-īnīa.
