Paraphrase

Before Marduk-šumu-iddin/Nabû-balāssu-iqbi//Amīl-Nanāya, Governor (šākin ṭēmi) of Uruk, Nabû-aḫḫē-uballiṭ/Ša-Nabû-šū, scribe of Eanna, Libluṭ, the one in charge of the royal box (ša rēš šarri ša muḫḫi quppi) of Eanna, and further 13 witnesses:

In the assembly (puḫru), Nabû-šarru-uṣur, the Royal Overseer (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna, questions f.Ina-Esagil-bēlet/Nabû-zēru-ušabši/Abīlu (IEb) about her slave (qallatu) f.Banītu-rāmat (Br), how IEb’s brother, Bānia/Nabû-nāṣir-apli (B), could sell Br’s child, f.Gāmiltu (G), to Nabû-mušētiq-uddi/Ūmāšu, since IEb had given Br as oblate (širku) to Eanna in year Nbk 13, the year of the locust plague (ḫuzirātu). IEb answers that B has done so illicitly (ina šurqu). Verdict: G is to remain free of claims (zakītu) with the temple.

Scribe: Ibni-Ištar/Šulāya//Amīl-Nanāya
