Bēl-iqīša/Ṣillāya (BI) was sentenced in this month by the judges (dayyānu) Rēmūtu and Bābu-ēreš to give 155 head of sheep and goats to the Lady of Uruk. The reason given for BI’s sentence is that he led away (abāku) 1 ram and 4 ewes marked with the star symbol and 5 unblemished (tamīmu) female lambs, property of Eanna from the fold (qabuttu) of Anu-šarru-uṣur/Šarru-ukīn in m.VIII of year 2 (see YBC 03994 for more details). The judges recorded in a tablet (ina ṭuppi šaṭāru) and determined (kânu D) that BI has to pay thirtyfold for the marked animals, and return the unmarked ones. Until the 25^th day of the current month, he has to bring them, have them branded, and hand them over to the property of Eanna. Arad-Nergal/Mukīn-apli//Egibi guarantees for his payment.

Court procedure. Bel-iqīša/Ṣillaya had taken 5 sheep and 5 lambs, property of Ištar, from the herd of Anu-šar-uṣur/Šarru-kīn 5 months before. The royal judges, Rēmūt and Bau-ēreš, order him to reimburse 155 sheep within 12 days. Ardi-Nergal/Zēriya//Egibi acts as guarantor.
