Contract for the date cultivation (nukaribbūtu) of a ḫallatu-orchard of Ištar, the Lady of Uruk, located by the upper (tp)Royal Canal (nār šarri elû). Balāṭu/Šulāya//Rab-banê entrusts his share (zittu) in the orchard—which he holds with his paternal uncle— and the share of Tabnēa and his nephew […]/Arad-Innin//Rab-banê to Luttûa/Nabû-aḫu-iddin (L). The contract will be valid for 4 years, during which L will be entitled to (akālu) 1/5 of the harvest.
L will supply water to the ditch (ḫirītu) and protect shoots (libbu) and date palm fronds (ḫaruttu). He guarantees the guarding of fresh dates (uḫinnu). He will assess (emēdu) fresh dates and then harvest (nakāsu) them.

- Legacy Paraphrase
Gardening contract for a plot of the Ḫallat palm grove, located next to the High Royal Canal. Luttū’a/Nabû-aḫu-iddin is entrusted with this plot, held by Balāṭu/Šūlaya of the rab bānê and his uncle Tabnea, by Arad-Ištar of the rab bānê for 4 years against a rent of 20% of the harvest. Five witnesses and Balāṭu/Innin-zēru-iddin, the scribe.
