Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādin//Dābibī (NMA), High Priest (šatammu) of Eanna, and Nabû-aḫu-iddin (NAI), Royal Overseer (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti Eanna) give 8 months of the prebend of dairyman (mār rē’ût šīzbi) to Nabû-iqīša/Ibni-Ištar//Rē’i-alpī (NI) and Kidinnu Nabû-nāṣir//Rē’i-alpī (K) and his brother Šadûnu/Nabû-nāṣir//Rē’i-alpī (Š). The prebend belonged to Sîn-ibni/Šamaš-udammiq//Rē’i-alpī and was reckoned (manû) as royal property (makkūr šarri).

From the 15^th day of m.III, NI, K, and Š will draw (ṣabātu) milk for rāsinūtu (soaking [Beaulieu 2003: 165] or pouring [San Nicolò 1934: 188, n. 2]; see Kessler 1991: 79–82). Each year, the temple (makkūr Eanna) will give them 2 big cows, their calves, and an oblate who will graze the animals. NI, K, and Š guarantee to draw milk for the meal (naptanu) of the Lady of Uruk. Their service period is divided into three parts: NI, K, and Š will each work 2 months and 20 days.

The remaining 4 months of the dairyman’s prebend belong to the household (bīt abi) of NI, K, and Š. NI and his brother’s sons will serve (izuzzu) according to their shares (zittu), while K and Š will serve according to their shares, and they will take (abāku) from Eanna another cow and its calf to serve this purpose.

NI, K, and Š will receive wages (idu) for 8 months, until NMA and NAI consult (malāku) the freemen (mār banî). NI, K, and Š will start their work on the 15^th day of m.III.

Work agreement between the temple and members of the Rē’i-alpi family. Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādinu//Dābibī, bishop (šatammu) of Eanna, and Nabû-aḫu-iddin, royal representative (ša rēš šarri) and commissioner (bēl piqitti) of Eanna, give Nabû-iqīša/Ibni-Ištar//Rē’i-alpi, and Kidinnu and Kudurrānu/Nabû-nāṣir//Rē’i-alpi 8 months of the dairyman prebend (isiq mār-rēˀût šizbi) that used to belong to Sîn-ibni/Šamaš-mudammiq//Rē’i-alpi and was ascribed to the royal estate (ana makkūr šarri manû). The temple authorities will give them every year 2 cows, their calves, and one oblate to pasture the cows. In return each of the men will provide milk for for the sacred meal (naptanu) of the Lady of Uruk. There follow details about the shares of the prebendaries, their respective contributions, and the retribution they are to receive for their efforts.
