Interrogation of Šamaš-iqīšanni/Ea-nādin-šumi, who was arrested during the night of 16-I at the Narrow Gate (bābu qatnu) in the storehouse (bīt šutummu) of Rēmūtu, and of the said Rēmūtu/Kalbāya, porter of the Gate of Well-being (atû ša bāb šulmi). The former confesses without duress (ša lā mašˀalti) that the latter, assigned to the storeroom (kuruppu) of the goldsmith (kutīmu) Bēlšunu on 16-I, told him about the presence of wool in the chapel of Adad and promised to open the gate for him. The latter confesses (ina muḫḫi ramānišu ukīn), confirming that he was indeed appointed to Bēlšunu’s storeroom. Six witnesses and Pir’u/Eanna-šumu-ibni, the scribe.
