Stipulations regarding the dispatch of temple-serfs to Babylon and their replacement during their absence.

The tablet lays out the orders given by A1, the temple administrator (šatammu), and A2, the courtier and royal supervisor (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna to B1–10, the ploughmen (ikkaru) and temple-serfs (širku), all of whom C, the governor (pīhātu) of Babylon and Across-the-river appointed (paqādu) as chiefs of ploughmen (rab epinni) in charge (ina muhhi) over the temple ploughs.

B1–10 are to go (alāku) to Babylon on (adi) the 25th of Nisan (I). Otherwise, they will bear (šadādu) the punishment (hīṭu) of C, the governor of Babylon and Across-the-river. During this time, B1–10 will assign (paqādu) their brothers, sons, and workmen, whoever is fit (ṭābu) for guard duty (maṣṣartu), to guard (naṣāru) the grain (while they are away).*
