Paraphrase | Guarantee for the performance of guard duty in the temple (along with temple-serfs). Penalty in case of default. A1, A2, and A3, guarantee (pūtu našû) for guard duty (maṣṣartu) of the outer wall (limītu) of the Eanna temple. They will levy (dekû) the temple-serfs (širku) of the inner city (qabaltu āli) whom B1, the temple administrator (šatammu) of Eanna, and B2, the courtier and royal supervisor (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna, registered (šaṭāru). Whoever neglects his guard duty will (šadādu) the punishment (hīṭu) of C, the governor (pīhātu) of Babylon and Across-the-river. The tablet is drafted in the presence (ina ušuzzu) of B1 and B2. The names of 3 witnesses are preserved, the third of whom is probably the scribe.
