Nabû-ušallim/Bēl-iddin(//Šamšēa) purchases a parcel with unbuilt land (eqel kišubbî), designated later in the text as a house plot (bītu), from Rēmūtu/Barbaru (R).

The parcel is located in Uruk in the quarter (erṣetu) of the (tp)Great Gate (bābu rabû). It measures 33 x 43 cubits, and borders to a narrow street and the house plots of Balāssu/Marduk-ēṭir, Balāṭu/ˀAdu, Iqīšāya/Nabû-aḫḫē-šullim and Aḫi-atâ/Nūrea.

50 shekels of silver in pieces (šibirtu) are declared (nabû) as its purchase price (maḫīru, šīmu). It is received with (adi) a supplementary payment (atru) of 1 shekel of silver. R relinquishes any future claims on behalf of his household. Non-compliance will result in a 12-fold repayment.

Written in the presence of Naˀid-Marduk(/Ūmu-19-nāṣir//Kurî), the Governor (šākin ṭēmi) of Uruk, and 6 witnesses.

Scribe: Apkallu/Zabidā//Sîn-leqe-unninnī.

The document includes a clause concerning fingernail impressions of R, but their presence or absence is not indicated in the edition.

Purchase of wasteland: A purchases wasteland (kišubbû) for 50 shekels of silver in pieces (šibirtu), together with an additional payment (atru) of 1 shekel of silver, from B. The sold land is located in the district of the Great Gate (erṣet bābi rabî) inside of Uruk. Its upper side (in the south) borders on the house of C₁ and its upper front (in the east) on the house(s) of C₂ and C₃. Its lower side (in the north) and its lower front (in the west) border on the houses of C₄ . The lower front also borders a narrow street (sūqu qatnu). The plot covers an area of 33 x 43 cubits (16.5 x 21.5 m). 5 witnesses (including Zabidāya, father of the scribe, and Iddin-Nabû both from the Sîn-leqe-unninnī family) and the scribe. The transaction is concluded in the presence of (ina ušuzzi) the governor (šākin ṭēmi) of Uruk (Naˀid-Marduk). Instead of a seal impression (kunukku), fingernail impression (ṣupru) of the seller.
