Paraphrase Promissory note for silver: B1 owes A 15 minas of silver. The debt will bear a monthly interest of 1 shekel per mina (20% p.a.). The debt is secured by a pledge which includes: B1’s 1/6 (inheritance) share (zittu) in an orchard; the half share (ahu) of the same orchard, which is the (inheritance) share of B2, the brother of B1; a house in Uruk against which B1 has already drawn silver (nasāhu) for making a payment (eṭēru) on behalf (ana muhhi) of B2; a plot in Babylon which measures 637 square cubits (159.25 m2) and borders on the houses of C1 and C2; (and) the entire assets (nikkassūšu ša āli u ṣēri) of B1. 5+ witnesses and the scribe. In text BM11898 we learn about another 1/6 share of the inheritance of Ahhēa.
