Paraphrase | Promissory note for dates. The document starts by stating that B owes dates (7 kor c. 1260 liters) to A and continues by stipulating the terms for repayment. It is agreed that he will deliver the dates at Yahud in the 7th month, i.e. during the date harvest season. The document is written on the 29th of the 5th month, about a month before the delivery date. Names of 3 witnesses (among them W3 = Bēl-ušallim/Šinqā, probably a brother of A); and the scribe: Šamaš-ēreš//Marduk-mukīn-apli. A = Iddinaya/Šinqā (known as the deputy appointed over the mares from other texts in the archive); B = Qīl-Yāw/Šikin-Yāw. |
