Paraphrase | Note about the assumption of warranty. Undated. In terms of categorization, this tablet is a border case between legal and administrative. Although legal in content, there are no witnesses or date, and it must have functioned more as a memorandum than as a legally binding document. It records that A1 guaranteed for (pūt našû, Stat.) B1 and B2 and will bring them along (abāku). They should (ina muhhi) settle the accounts (epēš nikkassi) related to sheep and goats (ṣēnu) belonging to Ištar and Nanāya. A2 did the same in front of (ina pāni) C1 and C2 with respect to B3 and B4. A1 = Nabû-iddin/Iddin-Nergal; = Aphallalu; B2 = Marduk; A2 = Aqar-aplu; B3 = Abu-ul-īde; B4 = Ilu-natan; C1 = Balāssu-…/Nabû-zēru-ibni; C2 = Ṣillāya/ Nabû-zēru-ibni |
