Eanna receives (maḫāru) 10 shekels of silver in compensation for (kūm) the beating (ṭerûtu) of Ardia/Bēl-aḫḫē-erība (A), herdsman of sheep and goats of Ištar of Uruk, by Adad-šarru-uṣur/Nanāya-iddin (AŠU), Rēmūtu, and Barik-il, hirelings (agru) of Šulāya/Gimillu. AŠU delivers it with (ina) the remainder (rēḫu) of sheep and goats due from (ina muḫḫi) A.
- Legacy Paraphrase
The Eanna treasury records the payment of 10 shekels of silver representing cattle arrears of the temple shepherd (nāqidu) Ardiya/Bēl-aḫḫē-erība. They are substituted by a fine imposed on Adad-šar-uṣur/Nanāya-iddin and Rēmūt and Bariki-ili/Gimillu, hired men (agū) of Šūlaya, for their beating (ṭirûtu) of Ardiya.
