- Paraphrase
Širikti-Kusu/Balāṭu, his brother Habaṣīru/Balāṭu, Tērik-šarrūssu, and Balāṭu/Šumu-uṣur, oblates of Ištar of Uruk, are dispatched with the plowmen (ikkaru) of the Lady of Uruk by Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādinu//Dābibī, High Priest (šatammu) of Eanna, to measure barley in the (tp)Angillu irrigation district (tamirtu). They swear by Bēl and Nabû that without the permission (ša lā) of the High Priest, they will not give away a single sūtu of barley, not even for sacrificial commodities and priestly remuneration (maššartu) or allowances (kurummatu), be it in the steppe or by a canal.

Oath of Širikti-Kusu and Ḫabaṣēru/Balāṭu, and Tērik-šarrūssu and Balāṭu/Šumu-uṣur, temple oblates (širkū). Together with the plowmen of Uruk (ikkarū), Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādinu//Dābibī’s, bishop (šatammu) of Eanna, sent them to measure barley in Tamertu-Angillu. They swear by the gods that they will not give away a single sūtu of barley. Two witnesses and Nabû-mukīn-apli/Marduk-šumu-iddin//Balāṭu, the scribe.
