Deposition of Nādinu/Zababa-ēreš, herdsman (nāqidu) of Eanna. He states to Nidinti-Bēl/Nabû-mukīn-apli//Dābibī, bishop (šatammu) of Eanna, and Nabû-aḫu-iddin, royal representative (ša rēš šarri) and commissioner (bēl piqitti) of Eanna, that Marduk-šarru-uṣur/Zabdiya assaulted temple shepherds and drove sheep out of their enclosure (maškattu) 5 days ago. Wolves attacked the wandering sheep and killed ten, the carcasses of which Nādinu presents. Both officials question Marduk-šarru-uṣur and he confesses to having beaten Šamaš-[…] and [Nādinu]/Zababa-ēreš and having released their sheep. Zēriya/Nanāya-ēreš//Kidin-Marduk serves as a witness to the facts and adds under oath that the sheep might also have drowned in a canal. [NN] and Nabû-zēru-līšir, both Aramaic scribes (sēpiru(?)) of Nergal-īpuš, a governor (lú.en-[…]) state that the enclosure in question in fact belonged to Eanna. Five witnesses and Nabû-zēru-ukīn/Nabû-kāṣir//Arrabtu, the scribe.
