Paraphrase | Obligation under oath to pay silver for a wool debt. The tablet records an obligation to pay silver in lieu of wool shorn in the countryside in the previous year. The oath is phrased as direct speech in the first person. A swears (tamû) by Bēl, the Lady-of-Uruk, [Nanāya?], and the adê-oath of the king to bring and pay (našû nadānu) to the Eanna 1 mina of silver by the 10th of Arahsamna (VIII). This is the market value (šīmu) of the wool (šipātu) from sheep and goats (ṣēnu) in the fold (qabuttu) at A’s disposal (ina pāni), which he has shorn in the steppe (ṣēru) during the 17th year (i.e. the previous year). This is apart (elat) from any other pending balance (rēhu) he might have (ša muhhi). Witnesses (mukinnu): B1–3. Scribe (ṭupšarru): C.
