Obligation to deliver a slave-woman to the temple for outstanding debts.

A has to hand over (abāku-ma nadānufB by the 10th of Addar to C1, the temple administrator (šatammu), and C2, courtier and royal supervisor (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna. fB is the slave-woman of D whom he gave to (his son-in-law) FA’s son, as (ana) dowry (nudunnû) of (itti, lit. “with”) his daughter fE.

The temple is demanding fB in lieu (ša) of the outstanding balance (rēhu) of D, a debt which the temple was clearly unable to collect directly from D.

If A does not deliver fB by the 10th day, he will deliver a(nother) slave as compensation payment (mandattu) to the property (makkūru) of the Lady-of-Uruk for the temple's loss of income since the day (ultu ūmu) that fB had been at his disposal (ina pāni).

Names of 3 witnesses and a scribe.
