Debt note for dates.

A1 and A2 owe (ina muhhi) 45 kor of dates, the share (zittu) due from themThe dates are the property (makkūru) of the Lady-of-Uruk and Nanāya, and part of (ina) the rent farm (sūtu) of (who had leased the license to collect rent on behalf of the temple). A1 and A2 will deliver the dates to Eanna on the 20th of intercalary Addar (XIIb). Alternatively, A1 and A2 may deliver part of their debt to B in barley, according (aki) to the amount of dates which C* (will/had?) deliver(ed) (wr. i-tan-ni) to the temple instead of (ana) barley that he owes. The rest (rēhu) of the 45 kor they owe, A1 and A2 will still pay (našû-ma nadānu) in dates.

Names of 2 witnesses and a scribe.

* Amurru-mukīn-apli (= C) is probably the canal inspector (gugallu) of the governor of the Sealand, who owed barley to the Eanna temple, but paid in dates instead. For the this reconstruction see Janković 2013 (PhD diss.), 3851414.

A1= Zēria/Kīnēnāya; A2= Nabû-bēl-ilī/Nanāya-ēreš; B= Nabû-ahhē-šullim//Nabû-udammiq; C= Amurru-mukīn-apli, probably the canal inspector (gugallu) of the governor of the Sealand (Janković 2013 (PhD diss.), 3851414).
