Paraphrase | Delivery to the temple of a slave to pay for a debt. A1 voluntarily (ina hūd libbi) gives B, his slave, whose hand is inscribed “to Kalbāya”, to the property (makkūru) of the Eanna temple. The slave is given for 1½ mina of silver of the debt that is held against (muhhi) him and A2, his brother. This is apart (elat) from the outstanding balance (rēhu) charged against A1 and A2. The tablet is drafted in the presence (ina ušuzzu) of C, the temple administrator (šatammu) of Eanna. Names of 5 witnesses, and a scribe. A1= Bunānu/Ahhēša, brother of A2; A2= Kalbāya/Ahhēša, brother of A1; B= Marilihi, slave of A1; C= Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādin/Dābibī, temple administrator (šatammu) of Eanna. |
