Delivery of slaves previously sold to the temple.

The tablet lays out the legal defence of A, regarding his possession of an ewe (lahru) belonging to Eanna.

An ewe (lahru) with a branded (šindu) cheek (and hence belonging to the temple) was found (amāru, Stat.) in the possession (ina qātē) of A on the 24th of Nisan (I) 1 Camb. A claimed that B entrusted (paqādu) him with the branded ewe.

As soon as C1, the temple administrator (šatammu), and C2, the royal supervisor (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna, will be back (lit. enter, erēbu) in Uruk, A will bring forth (abākuC, his guarantor (arkû), to stand before (ušuzzu) the commissioners (qīpānu). If A fails to bring C, he will pay 30-fold for the 1 ewe (1 adi 30) to the Lady-of-Uruk. D1 and D2 guarantee (pūtu našû) for A.

Witnesses (mukinnu): E1E2 the courtier (ša rēš šarri), E3, E4, E5 the royal Alphabetic scribe (sepīru ša šarru), E6, and E7. Scribe (ṭupšarru): F.
