Ṭāb-šār-Šamaš the baker; Mār-Esagil-rēṣûa (MER); Nabû-nādin-aḫi; (f)Abiddi the sister of his father; (f)Basurāya (B), (f)Nanaya-ayyālu and (f)Ina-qātē-Nanaya-šakin, his daughters, among them one that was born after B was marked with the star (kakkabtu) (i.e., dedicated as a female oblate (širkatu)); (f)Ninlil-tabni, wife of MER; Itti-Nabû-gūzu, his son; (f)Itti-Nanaya-gūzu, (f)Nanaya-silim and (f)Šidati, his daughters; 

– in sum: 12 slaves (amīlūtu), who Nabû-aḫḫē-bulliṭ/Ša-Nabû-šū (NAB) sold (nadānu) to Eanna for silver in Nbk.33, but whom he retrieved and kept in his house. 

Later, in Nbn.03.II, the king charged NAB with those 12 slaves and said: “Give them to Eanna!” NAB released (ezēbu) the 12 slaves to Eanna. 

And he (also) paid 2/3 mina of silver to the Lady of Uruk that the king charged him with, which he had owed the temple (for) Ana-Nabû-taklāku, his slave (qallu). 

Written in the presence of (ina ušuzzi) of Nabû-šarru-uṣur, Royal Overseer (bēl piqitti) of Eanna, (and) Libluṭ, Keeper of the Royal Box in Eanna (ša muḫḫi quppi). 8 witnesses are listed. The scribe is Šumāya/Ibni-Ištar//Ašlāku, in Uruk. 

Delivery of slaves previously sold to the temple.

The tablet lays out the legal defence of A, regarding his possession of an ewe (lahru) belonging to Eanna.

An ewe (lahru) with a branded (šindu) cheek (and hence belonging to the temple) was found (amāru, Stat.) in the possession (ina qātē) of A on the 24th of Nisan (I) 1 Camb. A claimed that B entrusted (paqādu) him with the branded ewe.

As soon as C1, the temple administrator (šatammu), and C2, the royal supervisor (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna, will be back (lit. enter, erēbu) in Uruk, A will bring forth (abāku) C, his guarantor (arkû), to stand before (ušuzzu) the commissioners (qīpānu). If A fails to bring C, he will pay 30-fold for the 1 ewe (1 adi 30) to the Lady-of-Uruk. D1 and D2 guarantee (pūtu našû) for A.
