Paraphrase

Land lease for date palm plantations belonging to the temple on a fixed-rent basis.

A1, the temple administrator (šatammu) of Eanna, and A2, the royal supervisor (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna, give to B all the land (zēru) planted (zaqpu) with date palms, property (makkūru) of the Lady-of-Uruk, except (elat) for the hallatu-orchards (zēru kirû) which are at the disposal (ina pāni) of the freemen (rab banê). The land is given by the order (ina qibi) of C, the governor (pīhātu) of Babylon and Across-the-River, against the payment of rent fixed (sūtu) at 12000 kor of dates per year.

The contract then lays out the obligations taken by B in more details. The passage is fragmentary, and the following key words are mentioned: digging (herûta herû), supplying water (mê ṣabātu Š) to the irrigation canals (nāru), and delivering fronds (liblibbu) [and fibres (mangagu)]; further also arrears (rēhu), oxen, sheep, and the present (nāmurtu) of the king.

Names of 7 witnesses and the scribe.
