Paraphrase | Land lease for cultivation of temple land on a sharecropping basis. A, the temple administrator (šatammu) of Eanna, gives the fields (eqlu) of the Eanna temple, from the kinṣu (uncl., perhaps knee of the canal) to the lower “thousand”-field complex (līmu) on the Ḫarru-ša-Lâbāši canal, to B1 and B2, for cultivation (errēšūtu, i.e. ploughing and sowing). In return, B1 and B2 will deliver to the temple its shares (zittu) in the harvest: 1/5 for the land which was cultivated in 23 Nbk, 1/6 for the land which they will irrigate by buckets (dalû), and ⅓ for the land with readily available water (bīt mê qātē). B1 and B2 guarantee (pūtu našû) for the performance of the (necessary) work (dullu) Names of 6 witnesses and the scribe.
