Paraphrase | Receipt of a boat-tower by the head of the Egibi family. From the Governor’s pool of forced labourers. Reference to a register. A receives (mahāru) one forced labourer (urāšu) from B, for the account of (ana muhhí) C. The labourer is to tow boats (šaddidu) to the quay, under the administrative authority (ša qātē) of D, Governor of Babylon (šākin ṭēmi), for 2 months and 2 days in the 24th year of Darius. A receives, together with the labourer, the previous register (giṭṭu) regarding service in the month Dûzu (IV). The text also refers to E but it is unclear how he is related to the transaction (for possible interpretations, see Abraham 2004, 274-275). Names of 4 witnesses and the scribe.
