Paraphrase | Receipt of barley by a royal official from the head of the Egibi family. Payment for transport costs. By order of the Governor of Babylon. A, courtier (ša rēš šarri) and clerk (sepīru) of the courtiers (ša rēš šarri) of the Grand Palace receives (mahāru) 40.3.2 kor of barley from B to cover the costs of transporting (gimru) a broken amount of barley. He acts by order of (ina qibi) C, governor (šākin ṭēmi) of Babylon. The barley that needs to be transported is D’s income from the collection of fixed rent (sūtu). The parties to the contract have taken one copy of the document each. Names of 6 witnesses and the scribe.
