Paraphrase Dialogue document concerning a marriage agreement: A1 voluntarily (ina hūd libbišu) approaches B1 and his wife fB2 and asks them to give their daughter, the nubile girl (batultu) fC, into marriage with his eldest son A2. B1 and fB2 grant (šemû) the request and give their daughter into marriage (ana aššati nadānu). Together with his daughter fC, B1 voluntarily promised to give as dowry (nudunnû) to A2 cash, real estate, slaves and moveables. Thus he gives 4 minas of white cut silver (kaspu peṣû nuhhutu) by 1/8 alloy (bitqu) per shekel including (adi) the 1 mina of silver in her dowry casket (quppu), 6 shekels of gold, a house of 6 reeds (294 square cubits = 73.5 m2) in the district (erṣetu) of Kullab in Babylon, bordering the house of D and the broad thoroughfare (mūtaqu) of Bēlet-Bābili, the (slave woman) fE1 together with her daughter fE2, and household goods (udê bīti). On the day A2 marries fC, B1 will hand over the dowry according to this tablet. A1 guarantees (pūtu našû) for the feeding (ipru), care (piššatu) and clothing (lubuštu) of his wife. The sealing (kunukku) of this tablet (ṭuppu) happened before 10 individuals and the scribe.
