Paraphrase | Promissory note for silver, within the framework of a business partnership (harrānu). With pledge of houses and warranty clause. The present record, formulated as a standard promissory note, documents a business partnership agreement and is mainly concerned about securing repayment of the invested capital. 40 shekels of silver of which one-eighth is alloy, are owed to fA by fB1 and her son (B2) from the capital that E invested in a business partnership (with them). The house at the bridge is pledged to the creditor. It is located next to C, the debtor's husband and belongs to her dowry. She transferred ownership over it to her son (B2) in a sealed document. It measures 2 gar. Pledged is further a house of 2 gar owned by B2 in which the creditor is actually living. fB1 assumes warranty for the repayment of the 40 shekels. fA should pay rent to C, husband of fB1, on a yearly basis.The house will be her disposal from the 1st of §abaṭ (XI), i.e. next month. She should renew the roof within 6 years.
