Nabû-ušallim/Bēl-iddin(//Šamšēa) purchases a baker’s prebend (nuḫatimmūtu) from Na’id-Marduk/Rāši-ili (NM).
The prebendary service is performed before Nanāya from 16th to 20th day of m.X.
1 mina 40 shekels of silver in pieces (šibirtu) are declared (nabû) as its purchase price (maḫīru, šīmu). It is paid together with (adi) a supplementary payment (atru) of 2 shekels of silver. NM relinquishes any future claims on behalf of his household. Non-compliance will result in a 12-fold repayment.
Written in the presence of Nabû-udammiq(/Zēr-Bābili), the Governor (šākin ṭēmi) of Uruk, and 4 witnesses.
Scribe: Nabû-šumu-ukīn/Aḫḫēa.
The document includes a clause concerning fingernail impressions of NM, but their presence or absence is not indicated in the edition.
The date is designated as "during the closing of the gate of Uruk" (ina edēl bābi ša Uruk).

Purchase of a prebend: A purchases a share (isqu) of the prebend of the baker (nuhatimmūtu) before Nanāya for 5 days, from the 16th to the 20th of Ṭebēt (X), for 1 2/3 minas of silver in pieces (šibirtu), together with an additional payment (atru) of 2 shekels of silver, from B. The transaction is concluded in the presence of (ina ušuzzi) the governor (šākin ṭēmi) of Uruk (Nabû-udammiq). 4 witnesses (including Nergal-ibni, son of the governor) and the scribe. The transaction takes place in a year of "locking of the gate" (edel bābi). Instead of a seal impression (kunukku), fingernail impression (ṣupru) of the seller.
