Dialogue document concerning a loan of silver: B1 approaches A with the request of a loan of 10 minas of silver to pay (eṭēru) expenses that he incurred (gimru gamāru) on behalf of B2. A grants the request. B2’s cattle pen (tarbaṣu) and orchard (kirû) in Uruk(?) are pledged to A. Without A’s consent the cattle in the pen is not allowed to go beyond a distance of half a double mile (bēru; = 5.4 km) upstream or downstream; an interest clause is set at 1/8 shekel per shekel (12.5% p.a.). 6 witnesses and the scribe.
