Mušēzib-Marduk/Kiribtu(//Sîn-nāṣir) purchases a date grove and fallow land (kišubbû) from Šāpiku/Bēlāni (Š).

The field is located in the quarter (erṣetu) of the (tp)New Canal (nāru eššetu) in the meadowland (ugāru) of Uruk (bīt Uruk; a district according to Frame 2013: 196). It is adjacent to the (tp)New Canal, and the properties of Bēl-zēri//Aḫu-yā’ūtu and Nabû-aḫu-ēreš/Bēlāni, brother of Š.

[...] mina(s) and 7 shekels of white silver (kaspu peṣû) are declared (maḫīru nabû) as the purchase price. It is received with a supplementary payment (atru) of 1 shekel, either added to the total or included (adi). Š relinquishes any future claims on behalf of his household or his father’s.

The document includes the clause concerning fingernail impressions of Š, but the tablet is not marked with them — at least, not on the preserved edges.

Purchase of a garden: A purchases a date garden (kirî gišimmari) as well as wasteland (kišubbû) for [x] minas and 7 shekels of white silver (kaspu peṣû), together with an additional payment (atru) of 1 shekel of silver, from B. The sold plot of land is located in the district (erṣetu) of the New Canal (nāru iššetu) in the meadowland (ugāru) of the district(?) of Uruk (bīt Uruk). Its upper side borders on (the property of) C1 and its lower side on (the property of) C2. Its lower front follows the Iššeti canal as far as (the property of) the neighbours. No cardinal directions for the sides are given in the record. The transaction is concluded in the presence of (ina uzuzzi) the governor (šākin ṭēmi) of Uruk (Nabû-kudurrī-uṣur). 6 witnesses and the scribe. Fingernail impression (ṣupru) of the seller.
