Paraphrase | Promissory note for barley. The document starts by stating that B owes barley (2;2.3 kor, c. 450 liters) to A and continues by stipulating the terms for repayment. It is agreed that he will pay a 20% surplus (lit.0;2.0 kor per kor of indebted barley). Nothing is said about when or where he should pay, or whether the debt bears interest. The elat-clause informs us that this debt stands apart from one recorded in another promissory note and about which there exist a legal dispute (dīnu). Names of 1 witness who happens to be a brother of the creditor, and the scribe: Nabû-mukīn-apli (without affiliation). A = Šikin-Yāw/Yā-ḫīn; B = Rapā-Yāw/Samak-Yāw
