Paraphrase | Donatio mortis causa. Free gift of a slave to the temple taking full effect only after the donors die. A1 and A2, his wife, voluntarily (ina hūd libbi) donated (nadānu) B, their slave (qallu), to be a temple-serf (širku) of Ištar. This they do for the preservation of their lives (ana balāṭ napšāti). B will keep serving (palāhu) A1 and A2 as long they are alive, and will be a temple-serf of Ištar only upon their death. course: May Anu and Ištar destruct whoever changes this agreement.
