Paraphrase | List of livestock allocated to a single herdsman, from the temple's general income. Partly uncl. Dated. The tablet records that the Eanna put 2 animals under the responsibility (ina pāni) of A. It concerns: 1 castrated bull (alpu tapṭīru) from the temple’s general income (irbu) that had been allocated to (ina pāni) B, the temple’s herd supervisor (rab būli) and which his messenger C had returned (abāku, Perf., lit. brought in)(*), as well as 1 female lamb (parratu) from the temple’s general income. (*)For a different interpretation, see Gehlken 1990, 45: C leads a bull away (abāku) from the place where the temple keeps its general income and allots it to B, whereas the lamb is allotted directly to A. A = Kināya/Ammānu; B = Innin-šarru-uṣur, herd supervisor (rab būli); C = Hašdāya, B’s messenger (mār šipri). |
