Three individuals – Arad-Innin/Ištar-ummānu, Aḫu-likunu/Bēl-zēru-iddin, Zababa-ēreš/Iddia – address Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādinu//Dābibī, High Priest (šatammu) of Eanna, Iltammeš-idri, Royal Resident (qīpu) of Ebabbar, Iltar*-abī, agricultural supervisor (gugallu) of the (tp)Angillu irrigation district (tamirtu). They offer to keep guard (maṣṣartu) of the area extending between the (tp)Takkīru Canal ((nār Takkīri) and (tp)Ḫarri-Kibbi, as far as the (tp)Rāṭu irrigation district and (tp)Bīt-Nabû-gaddu, and they promise to protect the arable land of the Lady of Uruk (Eanna) and Šamaš (Ebabbar), royal land, and bowland (qaštu) from onagers (serrēmu) and gazelles (ṣabītu). In exchange, they ask for allowances (kurummatu) and gifts (qīštu) for themselves and their 3 workers (ṣābu). They guarantee that onagers will cause no losses in the irrigation district.

The officials agree and put them in charge of this land (izuzzu Š) between Cam. 03.XI.05 and Cam. 04.I.15 in exchange for 50;0 barley as gifts (qīštu, payable in m.I) and 6;0 as allowances (kurummatu!; text: ninda.ḫi.a) and 2;0 dates (payable in m.XI). Each will pay his share (zittu).

Hiring of guardians for fields of barley. Arad-Innin/Ištar-ummānu, Aḫu-likūnu/Bēl-zēru-iddin, and Zababa-ēreš/Iddiya ask Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādinu//Dābibī, bishop (šatammu) of Eanna, Iltammeš-ḫidiri, royal representative (qīpu) of Ebabbar, and Iltar-abi, canal inspector (gugallu) of the Meadow off Villainy (tāmirti angilli) to provide them with 3 auxiliaries, so they could guard the fields of barley, belonging to Ištar, Šamaš, the king, and the archers between the Takkiru-canal and Ḫarri-kippi as well as in the Meadow of the Irrigation Canal (tāmirti rāṭi) and Bīt-Nabû-gaddu, against wild animals for 1 month and 10 days. They are paid in total 50 kurru of barley and 6 kurru bread for their daily rations, as well as a further 2 kurru dates. Three witnesses and Nabû-bēlšunu/Innin-šumu-ēreš//Ea-ilūtu-bāni, the scribe.
