At the request of Ištar-mukīn-apli/Itti-Šamaš-balāṭu//Itinnu (IMA), Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādinu//Dābibī (NMA), High Priest (šatammu) of Eanna, appoints (paqādu) IMA to guard (maṣṣartu) the New Year’s Temple (bīt akīti) and take up the gatekeeper’s prebend (atûtu) therein. IMA’s duties include bringing meal offerings (naptanu) to divine seats (šubtu) in the New Year’s Temple and guarding the temple, which he guarantees. He will be remunerated with a share (akālu) in the bread and beer brought to divine seats and allowances (kurummatu) associated with the gatekeeper's prebend.

The previous gatekeeper, Anu-nādin-šumi/Ištar-aḫu-iddin//Itinnu, abandoned his post at the gate and disappeared. While the temple was not guarded, the bronze rings (unqû) on the doors of the cella (papāḫu) gate and the bronze mounting on the wooden stand (šiddatu) of the ḫarû-vessel of the Lady of Uruk were stolen (ina sarti našû). For some time, Eanna-šarru-uṣur, oblate of Ištar of Uruk, was charged with guarding the New Year’s Temple and carried out the gatekeeper’s duties at the appointment of NMA.

Court judgement regarding the tasks and the connected prebend of Anu-nādin-šumi/Ištar-aḫu-iddin//Itinnu, porter (atû) of the Bīt akīti of Ištar. He had fled and left the building unguarded and as a consequence the bronze hooks of the doors of the inner cellas and the bronze mountings of the wooden stand of the ḫarû-container of the Lady of Uruk were taken away. Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādinu//Dābibī, bishop (šatammu) of Eanna, temporarily assigned a temple oblate (širku), Eanna-šarru-uṣur, to the position of porter, but was then contacted by Innin-mukīn-apli/Itti-Šamaš-balāṭu//Itinnu, Anu-nādin-šumi’s paternal cousin, who asked to take up both the watch and the prebendary duties (including bringing the sacrificial meals to the altars), as well as the privileges connected therewith.
