Nabû-aḫḫē-iddin/Ina-Esagil-zēru//Amīl-Ea (NAI) declares under oath by Bēl, Nabû, and Cyrus that he did not hear Nabû-mukīn-apli/Marduk-šumu-iddin//Balāṭu (NMA) use offensive words (amat … marṣātu) when speaking of the king. NAI admits that he said he would report NMA to the king (amatāya ana šarri ina muḫḫišu bašû) after NMA had turned up before him at the first double hour of the day and hit him. Now, NAI declares that he is not involved in a dispute with NMA.
Written in the presence of Nidinti-Bēl/Nabû-mukīn-zēri//Dābibī, High Priest (šatammu) of Eanna, Nabû-aḫu-iddin, Royal Overseer (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna.

- Legacy Paraphrase
Deposition of Nabû-aḫḫē-iddin/Ina-Esagil-zēru//Amēl-Ea against Nabû-mukīn-apli/Marduk-šumu-iddin//Balāṭu. The former swears that the latter spoke against the king (?) and thereafter threatened him in the presence of Nidinti-Bēl/Nabû-mukīn-zēri//Dābibī, bishop (šatammu) of Eanna, Nabû-aḫu-iddin, royal representative (ša rēš šarri) and commissioner (bēl piqitti) of Eanna, and thirteen members of the Egibi, Eppeš-ili, Dābibī, Šigû’a, Ekur-zākir, Amēl-Ea, Ḫunzû, Nûr-Sîn, and Gimil-Nanāya, and Balāṭu/Sîn-ibni, a shepherd. Gimillu/Innin-zēru-iddin serves as the scribe.
