Official appointment. Nabû-mukīn-apli/Nādinu//Dābibī, bishop (šatammu) of Eanna, and Nabû-aḫu-iddin, royal representative (ša rēš šarri) and commissioner (bēl piqitti) of Eanna, appoint Nūrēa/Šamaš-uballiṭ to guard (ana maṣṣarti) Eanna. He has to supervise the artisans (ummânū), two of whom are posted on the roof of the Nilzim-gate, two more on the roof of the illūru plant-gate, and the remainder in their workshops (bīt qātê). Five tanners Kulbibi, Bazūzu/Naˀid-Ištar, Anu-aḫu-iddin, Ardiya, and Nūrēa are to supervise the workshop (bīt dulli) and the storehouse (bīt šutummi). Five witnesses and the scribe, Rīm-Anu/Sîn-ibni.
