Administrative record of transfer + inventory.

List of multiple transactions of different types; livestock taken in and reassigned by the temple.

The obverse of the tablet details the incoming of 826 sheep and goats (ṣēnu) taken in from herdsmen (nāqidu) and overseers of herds (rab būli). The reverse then lists the re-allotment of all of these animals for various purposes.

* This is a rare case in which both terms for male lambs, parru and kalūmu, are used (see also YOS 7, 143). Following M. Kozuh (2014, 61ff.), parru is translated as young male sheep and kalūmu as male lambs.

 

43 young male sheep (parru), 125 male lambs (kalūmu), 2 barren ewes (lahru, wr. u8.sal.máh), 37 he-goats (urīṣu), 1 she-goat (enzu); total (napharu): 209 from (ša) the herdsmen (nāqidu) under the control (ina qātē) of A1, the overseer of herds (rab būli).

56 young male sheep, 173 male lambs, 2 barren ewes (lahru, wr. u8.sal.máh), 26 he-goats, 20 she-goats of/from har-ma-šú (uncl., GN?), 6 young he-goats (gadû), 6 young she-goats (unīqu); total: 288 sheep and goats (ṣēnu) from (ša) the herdsmen (nāqidu) under the control (ina qātē) of A2, the overseer of herds (rab būli).

42 young male sheep, 172 male lambs, 42 barren ewes (lahru, wr. u8.sal.máh), […]. 6 he-goats, 1 young he-goat; total: 269 from (ša) the fold (qabuttu) of A3, his brothers and A4.

57 male lambs, 1 he-goat, and 1 she goat; total: 59 from the holdings(?) (ṣibtu. partially uncl.) of sheep and goats in (ša) Tagritenu.

141 young male sheep (parru), 533 male lambs (kalūmu), 48 ewes (lahru), 70 he-goats (urīṣu), 22 she-goats (enzu), 8 young he-goats (gadû), 6 young she-goats (unīqu); grand total (pap.ma): 826 sheep and goats (ṣēnu) were taken (ṣabātu, Stat.) from (ina qātē) the herdsmen (nāqidu) at (ina muhhi) the shearing (gizzu) from (ultu) the 20 […] Simān (III) until the 3rd of Abu (V), 2 Camb.

reallocation: 139 young male sheep (parru), 87 of which (ina libbi) are shorn (gazāzu, Stat.), 100[+x male lambs (kalūmu)], 46 he-goats (urīṣu), 6 young he-goats (gadû) are assigned (no verb) to (ana) the fattening stable (urû).

5 young male sheep (parru), 334 male lambs (kalūmu), 12 he-goats (urīṣu) are under the responsibility (ina pāni) of B1.

[x] young male sheep (parru, wr. udu.sila4) are (no verb) to be set aside (ina parāsu) for the 20th of Simān (III), and 22 are (no verb) set aside (parāsu) for [the xth] day of Dûzu (IV).
