Paraphrase | Debt note for impost in dates. A owes (ina muhhi) 40 kor of dates to the temple*. It is charged against him as impost (imittu) for the 1th year (of Cyrus) for a field (eqlu) in Bīt-Nabû-šumu-līšir, (the collection of which) belongs to (ša) the rent farm (sūtu) of B. A will deliver these 40 kor of dates in Arahsamna (VIII) in Bīt-Nabû-šumu-līšir. Names of 3 witnesses and a scribe. * Lit. to “the property (makkūru) of the Lady-of-Uruk and Nanāya”. Note that the document is written in 2 Cyr but refers to the impost of the previous. A= Nanāya-iddin/Ibni-Ištar//Kurī; B= Kalbāya/Iqīša (//Basia), a known rent farmer (ša muhhi sūti). |
