: Land sub-lease for arable land belonging to the temple on a sharecropping basis.
A, the rent farmer (ša muhhi sūti) of Eanna, gives to B, [x] kor of arable land (pî šulpi) for cultivation on a sharecropping basis (errēšūtu). The land is property (makkūru) of the Eanna temple, part of the rent farm (sūtu) of A, and it is situated in the “thousand”-field complex (līmu) of C.
It includes both cultivated (bīt dulli) and uncultivated land (taptû). B will perform (epēšu) the work (dullu) there (ina libbi) and in newly reclaimed land (mayyāru), and guarantees (pūtu našû) for the performance of the (necessary) work.In return, B will give ½ of the harvest from the already cultivated land as the temple’s share (zittu), and ⅓ from the previously uncultivated land.
