Paraphrase | : Land sub-lease for arable land belonging to the temple on a sharecropping basis. A, the rent farmer (ša muhhi sūti) of Eanna, gives to B, [x] kor of arable land (pî šulpi) for cultivation on a sharecropping basis (errēšūtu). The land is property (makkūru) of the Eanna temple, part of the rent farm (sūtu) of A, and it is situated in the “thousand”-field complex (līmu) of C. In return, B will give ½ of the harvest from the already cultivated land as the temple’s share (zittu), and ⅓ from the previously uncultivated land. Each took (a copy of) the document. Names of 3 witnesses and the scribe. A= Gimillu/Innin-šumu-ibni, rent farmer (ša muhhi sūti) of Eanna; B= Talīm/Šumu-ukīn; C= Šarru-iqbi. |
