The document, written on the 18th of Abu (V) in the 1st regnal year of Darius, records that A gave (nadānu, wr. sum.na) 2 offering-measures (mašīhu ša sattukki) of sesame (šamaššammū) to (ana) B. The sesame will be used to (ina)* prepare the regular offerings for the last 15 days of the current month (Abu).
(*) Alternative interpretations are possible due to the ambigious meaning of ina (issued from/intended for).
A = Marduk-šumu-ibni(/Mušēzib-Marduk//Šangû-Ištar-Bābili), a known oil presser’s prebendary and baker of sweet cakes, Bongenaar 1997, 275f.); B = Gimillu, a known performer of prebendary duties owned by A (Bongenaar 1997, 273).
