Lease of arable land for gardening: B rents for gardening (ana nukaribbūti ṣabātu) from (ina qātē) A1 arable land planted with date palms (zēru gišimmarē zaqpu), dowry (nudunnû) of fA2, for [x] years. The leased land borders on the marsh (raqqatu) of the Euphrates and on the fields (eqlu) of C1 and C2. B guarantees (pūtu našû) for the digging (herû) of the field (eqlu) after moistening (labku) of the soil, for the border (miṣru) and akkullātu-formation, for the digging of of the ditches (harru) and drain channels (ārittu), for the watering (šaqû ša mê) of the land and for the guard (maṣṣartu) of the garden. He also guarantees against the decrease (kuppupu) and leaving them lying fallow (puššuhu) of the date gardens. B will dig up (herû) the entire land and enjoy (akālu) 5 kor of wages in dates (sissinnu) per 1 square kor of land. He will not let go fallow (nadû Š-stem) the arable land between the date palms.
